The foundation for Cocoon Events is Sven Väth's vision of interconnecting all aspects of Electronic Music: the music itself, DJ performances, live acts, visuals, light and decoration, dancers or unusual forms of acrobatics. The goal is to create the ultimate party experience.

World famous artists (DJs and live acts) are lined up and an especially unique and sophisticated ambience is created by carefully selecting the location, performances and visual arts.
Annually the Cocoon Events Department does several event productions worldwide, namely: Cocoon Residencies, Green & Blue Open Air, Cocoon in the Park in Leeds, Cocoon in the Mountains in Obertauern and Cocoon Ibiza.

 

Cocoon Residencies

Cocoon Residencies started out as the concept “Cocoon Clubbing on Tour”, first in Germany, then in Europe. Sven Väth took the Cocoon concept on tour, performing with high-profile line-ups, eye-catching performances and light decorations. Considering the grand success, Cocoon desired to do the tour more often, on a regular basis and globally. This resulted in residencies. Nowadays, Cocoon does 80 - 85 events worldwide, apart from Cocoon Ibiza and the Open Air events. Cocoon works with national and international local promoters and provides them with content for their events, such as DJs and live acts, dancers, entertainment and visuals, in order to create the ultimate Cocoon party experience.

Green & Blue Open Air, Obertshausen, Germany

The Green & Blue is probably the most beautiful and renowned open air festival within the Electronic Music scene in the Rhein Main area. Since September 2003 the event has returned annually, to different locations, the first being the Waldschwimmbad Obertshausen. This top location contains the two special ingredients that initially created the set-up of the Green & Blue concept: blue water and a naturally green environment. In the first years the event had between 5.000 to 8.000 visitors each year. In the meantime Green & Blue has matured steadily and grown to attract more than 13.000 guests now.
In 2010, Green & Blue was held at a spectacular new location, the Waldsee in Langen near Frankfurt, with the intention of expanding. Unfortunately, due to logistic problems and some new developments in the event scene in general, the venue had to be changed again. From 2011 on, Green & Blue is back again at the Waldschwimmbad, where it all originally started.

Cocoon in the Park, Leeds, U.K.

Cocoon in the Park is another breathtaking Cocoon production with full lighting shows (strobe and lasers), extravagant dancers, pyrotechnics, a live VJ, and an outstanding line-up. With over 6000 visitors, Cocoon in the Park had its second spectacular open air festival in Leeds in 2010. The event has settled within the grounds of a 450-year-old mansion house in the Rolling Yorkshire Countryside and is an area of natural beauty, surrounded by forests and lakes. In 2011, the success of Cocoon in the Park was tremendous and exceeded all expectations; with 8000 visitors the event has doubled in size since the first edition in 2009. 

Cocoon in the Mountains, Obertauern, Austria

Cocoon in the Mountains is the latest event series of the Cocoon posse. Besides the summertime parties, Cocoon now also offers a rave in the cold winter months: After a sporty day on the slopes, the heated Cocoon tent awaits our guests right next to the ski lift for a great party.

2011 was the first edition of Cocoon in the Mountains. After a superb kick-off in Obertauern, we are currently looking for a attractive new location in 2013. First talks with possible candidates have already started.

Cocoon Ibiza

The series of events held by Cocoon on the notorious party island Ibiza since 1999 goes by the name Cocoon Ibiza. Club Amnesia is the exquisite location where the parties are held and is one of the most beautiful and most famous clubs on Ibiza. From 2006 until 2010, for three uninterrupted years, Amnesia has been awarded the prestigious “Best Global Club” award. The club holds a capacity of more than 5000 visitors and has survived many memorable summers since 1976.
From June to September, Cocoon hosts the Monday night with Sven Väth leading the line-up of many international artists such as Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Loco Dice and Marco Carola. The clubbing experience is supported by a slogan, which changes every year. In 2010, the slogan was “Party Animals” and in 2011, the season kicked it off with “Cocoon Heroes”.
